Cleaning Silver: To clean your silver jewellery it is recommended that you rinse with warm water and just pat dry. Never spray perfume or any cleaning agents near silver or gold jewellery. It is recommended that your jewellery is put on after make-up ,perfume etc is applied. Keep jewellery in its box if possible as allowing it to come in contact with the air for a period of time makes it tarnish If jewellery is tarnished which is quite common with silver, use a silver cleaning cloth or silver cleaning fluid.Cleaning it regularly with the silver cloth prolongs its life and protects tarnish. If piece has small components use cleaning paste and wipe clean with soft cloth.
Gold: It is recommended that you soak piece for 15 mins in 2 cups warm water and a few drops mild dishwashing liquid. Gently scrub with soft toothbrush, rinse with warm water and dry with soft cloth.
Gemstones : Rinse in plain warm water and if necessary use mild liquid soap.Rinse and lay on soft towel to dry. Be careful if stones are on thread as it may shrink or break. Never wash Amber in hot solution. Turquoise, lapis, mamachite and onyx only use soft damp cloth. Aome gemstones are dyed to enhance natural clor so rub fingers on bead first to see if colour comes off.
Pearls : Rub individually with soft clean cloth dampened with mix of 2 cups warm water and few drops mild detergent. Do not soak. Leave to dry overnight.
